Dick, Pazarentzos Wins 4th Run Through History SHARPSBURG, MD--The 20th Annual Run Through History 10K was held on a hilly course through the Antietam National Battlefield on June 6. Jaime Dick, age 27, won the event in 32:52, almost two and a half minutes over runner-up Paul Spurrier, age 21, (35:20). Ron Knepper, age 48, placed third and first Masters with 36:06. This marked the first time in event history that a Masters runner broke into the top three. Maria Pazarentzos, age 37, had no intentions of running the 10K. She and her two children came to the event to watch her husband, Michael Spinnler, (age 40, 3rd 40-49 in 40:15) run. Maria was able to race, however, after Maureen Hall volunteered her husband to babysit for Maria. This allowed Pazarentzos to claim her fourth title in 39:03. Elizabeth McCullough, age 33, was second with 40:50. Third went to the generous Hall, age 34, in 41:53. Ruth Riemenschneider, age 41, won the women's Masters title in 44:32. MALE Overall 1.
