Ricker Makes Short Work of Millennium II 5K BY JIM BRONICO PHILLIPSBURG, NJ--The Run for the Millennium II 5K raises funds for the Phillipsburg High School Class of 2000 and, on April 29, was a great success. The number of entrants increased by 40 over last year's turnout to 130. The day was beautiful for the race. The race began and ended on the track at Maloney Stadium on the campus of Phillipsburg High School. The rolling course took participants through the lovely development of Hillcrest. First place was easily won by Mitch Ricker, last year's runner-up, in 17:20. Kim Keenan-Kirkpatrick was the first woman across the line in 17:57. Thanks go out to all those who volunteered their time on a gorgeous late-April morning. MALE Overall 1. Mitch Ricker 17:20 18 and Under 1. Chris Kuchn 19:27 19-29 1. Dave Osmun 18:24 30-34 1.
