Traffic Doesn't Deter McPherson at Forks XV CHENANGO FORKS, NY--Runners numbering 185 took to the streets on March 28 for the 26th Annual Forks XV (15K). The temperature stayed in the low 40s which made for a good day of racing. Ken McPherson's only real competition was a stray car that somehow found its way onto the course. After avoiding a near collision and engaging in a shouting match with the driver, McPherson, 23, of Syracuse, NY continued on to win the race in 50:23. This was his first time in this race. Connaire Foran, 21, of Greene, NY placed second in 51:45, with Tom Gudas, 35, of Binghamton, NY third in 52:27. Charlene Lyford, 33, of Greene claimed her third straight title finishing in 57:22.
