FLASHBACKS... Twenty Years Ago Pagoda Classic 20K, Reading, PA Greg Fredericks, State College, PA, breaks Jeff Bradley's record of 1:04:36 by running a sizzling 1:03.56. Fredericks finishes over four minutes ahead of runner-up Joe McCool (1:08:26). Jeff Brandt takes third in 1:08:56. Vicky Kraft, Elkins Park, PA, is top woman in 1:23:00. York, PA's Loretta Claiborne is second in 1:27:59. Sue Baskill of Dover, PA, rounds out the top three with a 1:30:04. Ten Years Ago Slavic Five-Mile Run, Mahanoy City, PA Gordon Sanders, Dayton, OH, establishes a new record with 23:58, eclipsing Randy Haas's mark of 24:56 set in 1987. Kevin Ruch (24:05) and John Doub (24:13) are second and third. RG Writer-at-Large Herb Townsend takes top honors in the 50-59 category with a 28:54.
